THE ASSESSMENT
Students will participate in the Rice Baby project where they will take care of a baby for 1 week. Students will turn in a “Baby Scrapbook” that will consist of their nightly journals and pictures of their time with their baby. They will then write a short memoir/personal essay chronicling their experience as a teen parent.
Students will take an Illuminate test on the novel “The Pregnancy Project” showing knowledge of reading comprehension, literary analysis, and critical thought.
